Our Neighborhoods Benefit When You Get Involved?

Several Advisory Board members’ terms are expiring soon. There are also some immediate vacancies. These positions are listed on the City’s Advisory Board Vacancy page and summarized below. Current members whose term is expiring and are still eligible for re-appointment and all new applicants need to submit an Advisory Board Application to the City Auditor and Clerk’s Office using this link:

Appointments and re-appointments will be addressed at the July 6, 2026, City Commission meeting.

We encourage our members to seek out residents in their neighborhoods that are qualified and willing to invest the time and effort required to serve in these advisory positions.

Board of Adjustment – 1 seat

Matthew Ruch – term expires June 2026, NOT eligible for re-appointment

Board of Rules & Appeals – 2 seats

Michael Walker – seat designated for a Licensed General or Building Contractor, term expires June 2026, eligible for re-appointment
David Phillips –seat designated for a licensed electrical contractor, term expires June 2026, eligible for re-appointment

Historic Preservation Board – 3 seats

Joyce Hart – seat designated for a member of local finance or business community, term expires December 2025, NOT eligible for re-appointment
Ramsey Frangie – seat designated for a registered contractor, term expires December 2025, NOT eligible for re-appointment
1 vacancy due to term expiration of Roberto Gonzalez in December 2024 – seat designated for a citizen at large
