The City Commission held its annual statutory meeting on, November 6th, where outgoing Mayor Debbie Trice gave the City’s annual State of the City address, highlighting accomplishments from the past year and celebrating Sarasota’s enduring vibrancy, beauty, and charm.
Following the State of the City address, Deputy City Auditor and Clerk Lori Rivers administered the oath of office to Commissioners Jen Ahearn-Koch and Flo Entler, who were sworn in for 4-year terms as At-Large City Commissioners. Upon returning to the dais, the City Commission unanimously selected District 3 Commissioner Kathy Kelley Ohlrich to serve as mayor and Commissioner Jen Ahearn-Koch as vice mayor for one year.
CCNA is particularly excited to work with this group of Commissioners. Flo Entler and Jen Ahearn-Koch served on CCNA’s Board of Directors and Kathy Kelley Ohlrich not only served on the Board but is a Past President. CCNA’s stated purpose is:
“To protect and enhance city neighborhoods. The coalition shall address the needs of neighborhoods and stand in support of these needs. The coalition shall consider action when requested by a neighborhood and shall work with the City Commission in a cooperative spirit.”
CCNA Neighborhood Membership is ready to assist in any way we can.
