New Pass Dredging Project Has Begun – Sand Will be added to Lido Beach
The Dredging contractor started equipment mobilization January 8th, 2026.
- Dredging will start at cut 3 and start placing sand on the north part of the project area (beginning January 19th)
- They will and move along the beach from the north to the south.
- Anticipated project completion by April 2, 2026.
The corps will make a total of 5 cuts in the pass, starting at Cut 3. Cut 3 will go from Jan 19-Jan 25 . The Cut 4 will go from Jan 26-Jan 30. Cut 5 will go from Jan 31- Feb 1. These locations have small quantities of sand, so they will move thru quickly. The renourishment will start slowly for the same reason, a small quantity of sand to start with. Cut 2 will run from Feb 2- Feb 24 and lastly Cut 1 will run from Feb 25-March 26. Both of these cuts have much more sand.
