December 2025 CCNA Utilities Projects Update

South Osprey Avenue Force Main Replacement: The project was substantially completed back in October and finalized last week with final pavement markings and cleanup.
North Tamiami Trail AC Water Main Replacement: Phase 1, 2, and 3 is progressing and new traffic pattern on N. Trial will allow all vehicles to drive on both Northbound and Southbound inside lanes to allow the contractor to cross all side streets with the new pipe. Once all pipelines are installed on these phases, the pipeline will undergo a multi-phase testing and acceptance before final connection and switching customers to the new pipe.

The next phase will be crossing the Dr. Martin Luther King Way intersection which will limit some turning movements. The contractor is required to expedite that work in two-week duration to minimize general impacts.

In anticipation for Phase-4, starting next year, the project team has contacted all businesses along N. Trail from MLK Jr Way to north of Myrtle in the past 2 weeks.

The contractor has also started some work for the past 2 weeks on 47th Street (Phase 7) and will continue until completion. All impacted neighborhoods and residents have been notified.
