To Vote – You Must Be Registered

Once Registered You Have 3 Options to Vote

Vote By Mail:

  • Request a Mail-In Ballot from the County Supervisor of Elections
  • Already Receiving a Mail Ballot? Rules have changed, best to Double Check Your Status
  • Vote by Mail Ballots are mailed to the local or out of state address that you indicated in filling out the request and will be mailed significantly ahead of the election.
  • Deadline to Request a Mail in Ballot:
    • Thursday August 8 (5:00 pm) for the August 20, 2024, Primary Election
    • Thursday October 24, (5:00 pm) for the November 5, 2024, General Election
  • Be sure to complete the information on the outside of the ballot (envelope)
    including your signature. Anything missing or not as directed could have your
    ballot disqualified.
  • Mail in Ballots can be dropped off at the County Secure Ballot boxes or at a Secure Ballot Box at Early Voting or Election Day Sites, while those places are open.
  • IMPORTANT: Mail-In Ballots must physically be in the possession of the Supervisor of Elections Office when the polls close at 7:00 pm on Election Day. So, if you are going to have the US Postal Service deliver your ballot, be sure to mail it at least 7 days ahead of the election.
  • Track the Status of Your Ballot  Has it been mailed? Has it been received? Status, etc.

Vote Early:

  • Depending on the Election, the Supervisor of Elections will open several polling places in advance of an election. Registered voters may use any of these polling places to vote.
    • Saturday August 10 through Sunday August 18, (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) for the August 20, 2024, Primary Election Announced Polling Places
    • Monday October 21 through Sunday November 3, (8:30 am to 6:30 pm) for the November 5, 2024, General Election

Election Day Voting:

  • The community is divided into precincts. You must vote at the designated polling place in your precinct. These may change from time to time, so it is always good to Find or Double Check Your Precinct Location
  • Polls are open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (August 20, 2024, and November 5, 2024)
