Sarasota County Neighborhood Services invites you to attend this year’s Neighborhood Initiative Grant Program (NIGP) Information Sessions for the upcoming Grant Cycle 39. You will find these events not only beneficial but also a chance to connect with others who share your commitment to enhancing our community’s resilience and safety.
Important Note: All grant applicants must have attended an information session within the last three years to be eligible to apply for the current NIGP cycle.
About the Grant Program:
The Neighborhood Initiative Grant Program (NIGP) supports a range of community projects across five key themes:
Environment: Initiatives aimed at protecting natural resources and promoting sustainability.
Character: Projects that enhance neighborhood pride and identity.
Health: Efforts to improve access to health resources and promote overall well-being.
Leadership: Training programs to build effective neighborhood leadership and governance skills.
Safety: Strategies for improving safety and preparedness within our community.
