Background:
The CCNA Membership at their May 3rd meeting voted unanimously to add a new Strategic Initiative to their list of initiatives for 2025.
Purpose: The primary goal of the Stormwater Resilience initiative is to reduce the impact of flooding and other stormwater related issues to our community, both people and property. The committee will do this by helping to identify areas of vulnerability, ensuring key dredging initiatives are prioritized and funded and by identifying and recommending ‘best practices’ for City code changes. The approach will be to work collaboratively with both the City and County to develop solutions that ensure our community needs are being addressed.
Organization: The stormwater resilience committee will be working within 3 subcommittees as follows:
- Residence and Street Flooding
- Waterway Clean Up and Dredging
- Zoning, Budgeting and Land Development Change Recommendations:
