Hurricane Ian insurance deductible assistance program now open
The Sarasota Office of Housing and Community Development, a department jointly operated by Sarasota County and the City of Sarasota, is implementing an assistance program following Hurricane Ian, which may provide funds related to: Amount of insurance deductible determined by the homeowner’s insurance company. Assistance will be in the form of a grant awarded on a first-eligible, first-served basis. Insurance Deductible assistance will be paid directly to contractors, provided that FEMA and Insurance payments have been applied to cover the cost of repairs.
