The Sarasota community is invited to attend an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 John Rivers St., to meet the five remaining finalists being considered to serve as the City’s next City Manager.
The candidates are:

Finalist Tim Gleason withdrew from consideration after accepting an offer from his current employer to serve as City Manager.
The open house will offer residents the opportunity to meet the candidates and talk with them about issues, priorities and the future of Sarasota. Five stations will be set up with each finalist moving between stations to talk with attendees.
Candidate applications and virtual interviews, conducted by the City’s executive search firm, can be reviewed online at City Manager Search.
Prior to the open house on Monday, the candidates will meet one-on-one with City Commissioners and engage with City leadership.
The following day, on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. the City Commission as a whole will conduct interviews with each candidate in the Commission Chambers.
A special City Commission meeting is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27 at which time the City Commission is expected to extend an employment offer.
