CCNA extends a warm welcome to our new interim City Manager, Dave Bullock. We look forward to meeting and working with you.

Longtime local government administrator Dave appointed by the City Commission to serve as Interim City Manager. Dave will leave retirement and begin his new role on Tuesday, May 27.

A well-respected administrator in Sarasota with 30 years’ experience in the public sector, Bullock served as the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County Chief Executive Officer from 2019-2021; Longboat Key Town Manager from 2011-2018 and Sarasota County Deputy Administrator from 1997-2011. He has extensive experience overseeing day-to-day operations and budget management.

Doug will resume his role as Public Works Director and postpone his June 1 retirement to assist with the management transition, with initial focus on the current budget planning cycle.
